For surgery codes, are the codes obsolete, or do the codes represent procedures that are obsolete? If the latter, is it possible the procedures may still on occasion be found in medical records? Is there provision to code them if found?

For Manxia - Is NPCR also collection SSDI #3829 - Esophagus and EGJ Tumor Epicenter? It's on the Required Status Table for V22, but it wasn't mentioned so I just wanted to check. Thanks!

Currently the NAACCR data item for Tobacco Use Cigarettes is 9965. If we want to retain this data item as a user-specific data item, will we need to make up a new data item number or can we continue to use the old data item number?
